My two main jobs are wife and mother and I am happy to have both. I am a historian and former teacher but I have always wanted to be a writer. It wasn’t until after the birth of my first child that I decided to actually try to write.

My passion for history tends to focus on women’s roles. The woman behind the man is more interesting to me. I always wonder about the women that history didn’t record or that we know so little about.

Despite my love of history, my writing varies from contemporary fiction to non-science fiction alternative universe contemporary fiction, to historical fiction. The one uniting theme in all my stories are the women. I have a woman’s point of view and love writing from it.

I have a bachelor’s degree in history and political science. I was a teacher for a short time before becoming a full-time wife and mother. My husband and I have been together for over twelve years and we have two beautiful boys. We currently reside in the suburbs of Pittsburgh.
